Volunteer Opportunities in Lubbock: Habitat for Humanity

We had a great time volunteering at the Lubbock Habitat for Humanity Spring Into Building event this past Saturday! The weather was beautiful and getting to be outside working on a project for a good cause with our family and friends was a great way to spend the morning. From power washing houses to building fences to picking up trash and debris, we were proud to leave the job site looking better than we found it, along with lots of other volunteers from local organizations and colleges.

The Spring Into Building event is continuing every Saturday through the end of May. You can show up at 404 North Guava Avenue any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to help out. Volunteers must be 18 or older, wear close-toed shoes, and sign a waiver on arrival. If you have any questions or would like more information, you can contact Brittany Morgan at 806-516-4502 or construction@lubbockhabitat.org.
